Supporting New Friends

Meet Jennifer Marlowe. She is a special gal, and our NILMDTS office team had the honor of spending time with her recently after her palliative care nurse in her hometown of Phoenix contacted NILMDTS.  The nurse knew our volunteers knew a lot about cameras and photography, and she knew it was her patient's one wish while battling late stage cancer to be able to learn how to shoot like a pro and have the tools to do so!

NILMDTS Co-Founder Sandy Puc' flew Jennifer and her mom in to Colorado, providing her with a Canon camera and a trip of a lifetime.  Additionally, Jennifer and her mom were able to spend time with Jennifer's grandmother, who is also battling late stage cancer.  The Denver Post did preview stories on her trip, you can read them here:  Post Part 1 / Post Part 2

We were not only honored to spend time with the Marlowes, but to be touched by the so many offers of support from our friends in the Denver-area community.  Bravo to all who made this trip so special!  They include~

And to Igor at Denver Limo, Inc., who gave mom and daughter the ride of their lives back to DIA on their trip home to Phoenix, bravo to you.  We know this donation had special meaning in memory of your grandfather.  

It is Jennifer's wish that by seeing these examples, people will be inspired to give a little of themselves and their talents to help others.
