Our Angel Gabriel Anthony Mele was born on April 1st 2008 at 3:07PM at the naval hospital in Okinawa Japan. He was 6 lb 13 oz and 21 1/4 inches long. He is beautiful! I never thought we would make such a perfect baby boy. At birth Gabriel did not breath for about 17-18 minutes. We arent sure what happened. The doctors think that he either had something obstructing his airway or he tried to breath before came out and because he was unable to get air went into a very depressed state and wouldnt breath once he came out. The doctors did not expect him to make it out of the delivery room let alone the next day. Today May 12th 2008 Gabriel is a month old and still with us. He has come along way from the day he was born. however the dr. does not expect him to live much longer. But i know the Lord will take him back when it is time not a second sooner and not a secong later. Gabriel has changed our lives in so many ways. I am so proud to be the mother of such a perfect baby boy.
