Our son, Carson Reid Davis, was born on September 27, 2007. Two days after his birth, we were told Carson had Trisomy-13 and virtually no chance of survival. It was devastating news and a total shock to both my wife and I as we had no indications of this throughout the pregnancy. After an unsuccessful attempt to get Carson healthy enough to bring home, we decided it best to let him be in peace. Just days before we were going to remove life support, I was notified by my cousin that she had a friend that was a participating photographer with NILMDTS. She went on to explain NILMDTS’ mission and suggested I contact Heather Matthews as a possible resource to capture our family’s final moments together. Only after moments of our speaking and without hesitation, Heather agreed to help us. Her work and her professionalism was amazing!
