Although I don't remember the name of our photographer, I will never forget that day. May 27th, 2008. The day my precious daughter, Cheyenne passed away. Cheyenne had lived for 29 days and had suffered from brain damage and strokes due to a placental abruption. She also developed an intestinal infection called NEC. The day that we knew Cheyenne wasn't going to be able to cling to life, we were told about a service called NILMDTS. At the time, I was in shock and didn't know what I would really need to grieve for her in the future. It took some convincing for me to accept a photographer, but I am SO glad that I did. She was in the background and let us have our space while we said goodbye to Cheyenne. Now, looking back on those photos, I get the chance to see how beautiful my daughter was. I never got to see her without tubes on her face. I am so thankful that there is a service like this for families! Thank you so much!
