My pregnancy was amazing. Nine months filled with happiness, anticipation, and excitement as we waited for the arrival of our first born. We didn't find out the sex of our baby, this made it even more wonderful. Every doctor's appointment went smoothly. Until November 11, 2008, just three days before the due date. During this routine appointment, as the doctor held the doppler to my belly, he stated the 5 most horrifying words I will ever hear, "I don't have good news." There was no hearbeat. My body and mind went numb. This can't be happening. I had felt the baby moving the night before. The baby was breech and I went to have a c-section that evening. It was determined that the baby died because of a cord accident. The umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's body.....and then I heard the most wonderful words, "It's a girl." Marirosa came that night to take photos. The most amazing photos. She was so compassionate and sincere.
