On September 29, 2008 I had found out I was pregnant with my first child. We were very excited to find out we would be having our own little child. On January 20th we went in for my 20 week ultrasound and was happy to find out we were having a little girl. All through my pregnancy everything was fine heartbeat and all. On February 3, 2009 I went in for my routine check up and heard the heartbeat and everything was still normal. The morning of February 16th, 2009 I was starting to have pains but didn't realize I was in labor. At 4:27 am my water broke and the ambulance was called. At 5:20 am Carley Jean Frase was born into this world at 24 weeks and 4 days gestational due to me having an incompetent cervix and not knowing I was dialted. She weighed 1 pound 6.6 ounces and was 12 1/2 inches long. When we got to the hospital they had her on breathing tubes and monitors. We got transferred to St. Elizabeths and she was taken to the NICUU.
