Our precious Darcy Anne was born on September 27, 2008. She was born with full Trisomy 18. After experiencing miracle after miracle, she made it into our arms. She was our seventh child and the whole family was eager to meet her, as her siblings (ages 1-17) anxiously awaited her arrival in the hospital room. She was a fighter with a fighter's spirit. She came out screaming. What a blessing that God gave us that day. We were able to take her home the next day where she remained with us for 15 beautiful days. We were able to make a lifetime of memories in a short amount of time. Among the things she experienced was bathtime with mommy, motorcycle ride with daddy, had a tattoo (stick on), first dance with mommy/daddy, manicure/pedicure, trip to McDonalds, go to the park, attended a banquet, went to church, and many, many other things. Yes, indeed, we fit a lifetime of memories in those short 15 days. Life is not the same around here without her but the blessings that came from
