Our story started 4 months before our precious baby boy got his wings... At our 4 month ultrasound the tech suspected Braxton only had 3 chambers in his heart. Sadly, this was confirmed a week later. The rest of my pregnancy consisted of high risk Dr appointments, and level 2 ultrasounds. After every appointment we were assured that he was doing better than expected! It wasn't until the last month that I believed we really would be bringing out little boy home. We had his room ready, his clothes washed, his diaper bag packed, and his big brother was SO excited to meet him. All of that changed on August 25th. I hadn't felt movement since 2 days prior, which happened to be his big brother's birthday. Braxton hadn't been moving much anyway, but the doctors all assured me that was typical in babies with heart defects, but somehow I just knew.
