Remembering the children captured in images by our NILMDTS Volunteers

At our Board of Directors meeting one week ago, we collectively decided that in this space, where we normally honor a NILMDTS Volunteer of the Month, that we will institute a new tradition. October is designated as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and in recognition of this, we will honor the thousands of angel babies captured in images by our affiliated photographers.
We have a number of resources for families, hospitals and anyone interested in creating and preserving those special memories in a new Forum page designed by Co-Founder Cheryl Haggard - CLICK HERE.
Thank you to the many parents who - when faced with this devastating news - have requested an NILMDTS photographer to provide everlasting portraiture to remember and memorialize their babies. Thank you to the hospitals who have so graciously embraced our program, welcomed our Affiliate Photographers, and worked with us as the program has evolved. And, Thank You so greatly to the thousands of photographers in 25+ countries who make this gift and this legacy possible.

The Process for choosing the Volunteer of the Month
The Co-Founders select the Volunteer of the Month by considering many deciding factors including -- Nominations from families, hospitals and fellow photographers
- The nominee’s established leadership in their community
- And their hard work following the necessary guidelines within NILMDTS including completion and logging of consent forms.
Nominations should be e-mailed to headquarters@nilmdts.org with the subject line of "VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH NOMINATION". The Headquarters Office will accept nominations at any time throughout the month.
Each NILMDTS Volunteer of the Month receives a congratulatory plaque which can be proudly displayed in their studios as well as a profile here throughout the month of their award.
This is a wonderful way for us here at NILMDTS to recognize the outstanding achievements and the giving nature of ourvolunteer base.
