January 2020 Volunteer Spotlight

In 2017, Dan Chavez joined the Tucson, AZ team without any hesitation. He had lost a granddaughter near birth and wanted to give back by sharing his talent to help others who were facing a similar loss.

Tuscon Area Coordinator, Karen Wright says, “I have a great NILMDTS team in Tucson, AZ with very willing and capable volunteers. One volunteer who stands out is Dan Chavez.

In the short time he has been on our team, Dan has taken sessions across the city, has filled dispatching duties when needed, is always the first to complete or update his training and most recently agreed to observe a new photographer during a session.

I have enjoyed getting to know Dan and am lucky to have him on our NILMDTS team.”

Dan has been a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer since August 2017 and has taken 16 sessions.

From the bottom of all our hearts, from NILMDTS Staff and Volunteer Leadership, we thank you very much for all your efforts in serving your local families!

If you have a suggestion of a volunteer who should receive a shoutout in our monthly spotlight, please email volunteercoordinators@nilmdts.org.
