As the unprecedented and ever-changing response to COVID-19 grips our communities, we want to share with you our commitment to patient safety. The need for our services, unfortunately, will not diminish.
- All of our volunteer photographers are well-trained in proper sanitation, hand hygiene, and hospital protocol.
- We are asking that any volunteer who has traveled outside the country in the last two weeks to not accept a session.
- Volunteers will not accept a session if they’ve had close and continued contact with someone who has been out of the country in the past two weeks.
- Any volunteer with a cough, fever, etc. (regardless of exposure) is being told to not accept a session. And of course anyone with known exposure to COVID-19 will not be accepting sessions.
Whether or not a volunteer is available to or comfortable with accepting a session during this time will be handled on a local level as every community we serve is different. It is possible during this time that there will be difficulty finding a volunteer able to come or that your facility has established protocol that will prevent non-essential personnel from entering. If there is a need and your facility will allow for it, please continue to call local volunteers.
If you are unable to find a volunteer photographer or if your facility will not allow entrance, please know that we can still partner together to serve the families that are experiencing the unimaginable.
Photos taken by staff or the family can still be submitted for professional retouching by our team of Digital Retouch Artists. The consent form for retouching is required for this service and can be found here. Instructions for submitting those photos to us can be found here.
To further aid in serving our families, our continuing education course is NOW AVAILABLE to medical providers. Find out more information and apply now!
If you have any questions about our COVID-19 policies, please contact the Medical Program Manager here. If you have questions about retouching, please email us here.
