DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE COVID-19 VIRUS  \n\nDear NAPSW Members and Colleagues\, \nDue to the ongoing and significant concerns with COVID-19 NAPSW has made the difficult decision not to hold the annual NAPSW conference April 29 through May 2\, 2020 in Chicago.  NAPSW is hopeful that this will be a postponement and we can move forward with this conference in Chicago in the spring of 2021. \nThe decision is difficult\, but necessary as many of our conference speakers and participants work with vulnerable populations and the safety and wellness of all is the priority.  This decision follows the recommendations from the CDC as well as guidance provided by federal\, state and local governments across the United States to healthcare institutions\, school systems and all venues regarding large gatherings and the need to limit social exposure. \nPlease be assured that all who have registered and paid for the conference will be issued a full refund of their conference registration as well as other conference related fees paid to NAPSW. More information about the refunding process will be provided next week.  For those of you who had already made hotel reservations we encourage you to cancel them at this time\, if it has not already been done by you or by the hotel. In the next few weeks we will be contacting the sponsors and exhibitors who have graciously supported NAPSW and this conference to clarify the necessary details as we move forward. \nAgain\, it is our hope that the conference will be rescheduled.  New information for a rescheduled conference will be shared as soon as it is available. We appreciate your ongoing patience while we continue to navigate this process. \nSincerely\, \nAli Tiedke\nNAPSW President\najtiedke@gmail.com
