A parent’s gratitude« back to news
, When we were told that we needed to prepare for our daughter to be born with no breath in her lungs our hearts were broken. We began making arrangements and preparing for the worst while holding onto our hope in Jesus. I had found the website for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep and came across Jennifer Wilkerson who is a photographer in the Chattanooga area. I always admired her work as canvas' of beautiful babies hung in the Obgyn office with her signature on them. I knew she was the one for this job. I needed someone who could capture the beauty of my daughter in the darkest moments of our life. I needed something to hold onto when I no longer had my daughter to hold onto.
That morning she showed up early to the hospital. She was so sweet and captured every detail of the morning leading up to the birth of our daughter. As we held our breaths in the delivery room our daughter began wailing. The lethal prognosis we were given was canceled by the Lord and Jennifer captured the miraculous moments that followed. She wept with me as the doctors began assessing Jocelyn. From that moment on Jennifer became someone I clung to. Someone who shared such a wonderful moment with me, and captured it all! We are close friends now and I go to her for all our family pictures. It meant everything to me that she donated her time to be there for my family and me. She is the most beautiful person I’ve ever met. I owe her everything, and yet she expects nothing at all.
