March 2023 Volunteer Spotlight

We have so many amazing volunteers, and this month we are excited to shine the light on Meg DeMalia of Hubbardston, MA. Meg joined NILMDTS in 2019 and currently serves as Area Coordinator, Dispatcher, Affiliated Photographer, Assistant to Photographer, and Community Volunteer. Meg has helped provided the gift of remembrance to close to 80 families since she began volunteering.

Debbi Lindsey nominated Meg saying: “Meg is a selfless volunteer and an incredible leader. She takes on additional roles when she sees a need, including stepping in as a Affiliated Photographer and Dispatcher. Meg also works closely with our local hospital staff, even training them on camera use so that they can serve families when we cannot. Meg gives her time and attention despite having a busy young family herself and a full-time photography business. Whenever there is a question, or need to talk through an issue, Meg is always there to help. Massachusetts is lucky to have her as our Area Coordinator!”

From the bottom of all our hearts, from NILMDTS Staff and Volunteer Leadership, we thank you very much Meg for all your efforts in serving families and volunteers!
