November 2021 Volunteer Spotlight

We have so many amazing volunteers and this month we are excited to shine the light on Jenifer Potter. Jenifer joined NILMDTS in 2016 and has provided the gift of remembrance to 108 families since she began volunteering.

As she recently surpassed 100 families served she shared, “At first I didn’t know if I could step into a stranger’s story, as I had photographed 5 very special babies of families that I knew prior to becoming a volunteer. Then a friend reached out asking if I could take pictures of a family I didn’t know. After that session with baby Charlotte, I knew I could do this! I know what these photographs will mean to these families for years to come and it’s an honor to play a small part in their story.”

Jenifer also chairs an organization called Noah’s Hope. Noah’s Hope provides plush bears for families in local hospitals to help bring comfort and peace at the death of their baby. Noah was the very first baby Jenifer ever photographed. Kristin, Noah’s mom, asked Jenifer to capture his brief life with her gift of photography and he is the foundation of her desire to continue to serve as a NILMDTS photographer.

Jenifer is happily married to her husband Eric and they have five children that she educates at home. We are deeply grateful for her commitment to share her time and energy to photograph and edit gorgeous images for families in Indiana!

From the bottom of all our hearts, from NILMDTS Staff and Volunteer Leadership, we thank you very much for all your efforts in serving your local families!
