Our beautiful little girl began teaching us lessons about love, faith, and strength even before she was born.
At 19 weeks pregnant, we learned that our daughter had anencephaly. Even after receiving this heartbreaking news, we continued to pray and hold on to hope that the doctors were wrong. She was such a fighter, always happily moving and grooving. It was hard to believe that anything could be wrong with our sweet girl.
After an appointment the day before, when her doctors were unable to find her heartbeat, we scheduled her delivery for the following day. On February 23, we finally got to see our beautiful daughter's face. She was the first little baby we had ever seen with bangs, a special detail we will always remember.
I cannot imagine what that day would have been like without our Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS) photographer, Jamie, by our side. She was incredibly professional and gentle as she captured these precious moments with our daughter. During one of the hardest days of our lives, she helped us preserve memories that we will treasure forever.
The support we received from NILMDTS means more to us than words can express.
Our family is so grateful to have these remembrance photographs, allowing us to see our daughter's beautiful face and keep her memory close. My husband and her sister look at her pictures every day, and I am thankful that we have these lasting memories to share as a family.
This is not an easy journey, and learning to navigate life without our daughter is something we will continue to face one day at a time. But we know we must keep going, carrying her love with us and finding ways to honor her life.

Our sweet girl may not have been here for long, but she has already taught us so much. We will continue to love her, remember her, and do our best to make her proud.
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit, offers families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss with complimentary remembrance portraits, capturing precious moments with their babies. Your generous donation can help us extend this heartfelt service to more families in need. Please consider supporting us here.
